PERMANENT SUPPORTIVE HOUSING

vertical tiny home village

For community members who need ongoing support

CALIFORNIA / 2023-PRESENT

California urgently needs affordable and specialized housing. As a board member and architectural design partner of Yolo Community Builders, I work with local communities to build cost-effective, permanent housing with ongoing essential support services in a safe, welcoming environment for our unhoused community members.

My Vertical Tiny Home Village typology is core to this mission: a compact, one-building, permanent supportive housing solution. It provides affordable housing with supportive services, such as ongoing addiction and mental health treatment, case management, and life skills development. Each three-story building balances the privacy and independence of individual micro-dwellings, each with its own bedroom, bathroom, and kitchen, with day-to-day interactions within the village gathering spaces and ground-floor support.
