Cafe Roma
Fresh and hip atmospheric design for an enduring college icon.
This cafe is located 1/2-block east of the University of California at Davis campus. From the street (active with bicycle and pedestrian traffic), the floor plan is extremely 'porous', with a wall of glass doors opening onto an oversized slate patio. The facade consists of three primary components: an 11' high mural wall; a copper entry cube; and the slate patio. Inside, an 18" high performance stage provides extra seating. The back wall of the cafe is an art wall, designed for the rotating art displays traditional in this type of cafe.
